Downtown Al-Areen is a large scale, luxurious urban mixed-use health and family tourism development spread over an area of 2,000,000m2, located on an elevated desert plot is the southern region of Bahrain. It will offer commercial and residential facilities, luxury apartments, retail outlets, and entertainment venues. It looks over the Al Areen Wildlife park and reserve and the Banyan Tree Desert Spa & Resort. Although located amidst the serene calm of the Bahraini desert, it is also close to the Bahrain high-octane excitement at the Bahrain International F1 Circuit. The site is linked by a main boulevard, which will be framed by abundant greenery. This broad walkway will feature a series of complexes along both sides of the pavement that will include 330 luxury residential apartments and office spaces on the top three floors (40,000m2), with the ground floors (23,000m2) reserved for a selection of restaurants, cafés, and retail outlets.
